FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL REMINDERS                              2026-2027

Non-Negotiables 

• Safety first: Hands to yourself, walk on the right side of the hallway, and don’t block the halls.

• Phones, Smartwatches & AirPods: “Off and away” in your locker from the time you arrive until 2:00 PM. 

• Chromebooks: For schoolwork only. Games, YouTube, and music should be used only with a teacher's approval and on district-approved sites.

• Be on time: Arrive at class before the bell, and stay until the bell dismisses you.

• Drills: Stay silent during safety drills until everyone is safely back in the classroom.

• Students and staff are required to wear their lanyards at all times while on campus. Lanyards and ID badges must be clearly visible.

Bus/Transportation Reminders

• Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your bus stop pick-up time. Be patient as buses may be late as drivers learn the routes. 

  • 6th graders - Sit in the front ⅓ of the bus  

  • 7th graders - Middle ⅓ of the bus 

  • 8th graders - In the back ⅓ of the bus 

  • Seats will be assigned in the first several weeks of school

Student Schedule Reminders

• Students need to bring a printed copy of their schedule to school.  

  • Upon Arrival

    • 7:00 AM - 7:20 AM

      • 6th graders will report to the Auditorium on Sept 8th. Every other day, students will report to the cafeteria.

      • 7th Graders will report directly to the front gym

      • 8th graders will report to the cafeteria on Sept 8th. Every other day, they will report to the auditorium.

  • 7:18 AM - 7:30 AM

    • 7th and 8th graders - Will be released to their homerooms

Lunch Reminders

• Students are encouraged to bring lunch from home for the first several days as they become familiar with the lunchroom options and procedures.

Cell Phone and Other Cellular Devices

• Cell phones & smartwatches must be turned off upon entering the building and placed in their locker, not a bookbag.  They may not be on your person! 

• Parents are encouraged to set limits on all cellular device access during school hours.  Please check with your providers for further details on how to limit access.

Wireless Headphones

• Wireless headphones/AirPods are not permitted. Upon entering the building, students need to place them in their lockers.

Chromebooks

• 6th Graders- Will be given Chromebooks on the first day of school
